The company in Italy took its first steps as an international freight forwarder in its initial location in the center of Lecco (This is how we started): some rented premises and limited maneuvering space for customers’ and suppliers’ vehicles.
In the 1970s, the transfer to the new owned terminal in Valmadrera, strategically located on the Milan-Lecco road route. In other words, a strategic gateway for the Lecco economy.
Company development has led Fischer & Rechsteiner to be the first international freight forwarder in the Lecco area. Its well-equipped terminal allows all loading and unloading operations, from the smallest lots of groupage to complete loads of trailers and containers. Customs clearance directly at the terminal significantly reduces downtime and allows any customs checks to be managed flexibly.
